Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is currently working as a sportscaster at ESPN, working as anchor for SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. The first time she worked for ESPN in 2016. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been for a long time, starting at the age of nine. This skill helped her to get her first position at Univision, Miami. She was able to work alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then she was hired by the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009, she relocated to Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues on both sides the Texas-Mexico Border, she worked as a news reporter for KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm, a news reporter in English at 9 pm and after which she became a news anchor until 10 pm, and then returned on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. She was also frequently required to act as a sports or weather anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on other duties. She covered the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports program Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She was hired as anchor of the sports program by Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. The anchor also worked in the same role on Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz, Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November in 1985. She has an older sister. In 1992, the family relocated to Miami after relocating to Mexico in the US. Soon after, her parents separated and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. It was on a holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. Antonietta was a senior in high school with an idea of what she wanted her future to be, visited Mount Union University in order to find out what she could get out of the college. Then, she fell in love with the university. The university offered her an academic major. After completing her high school education she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and director of WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself inspired her. She, in turn attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not fail him.
